Partridge and Orange

This is one of my favorite soft hackles. It’s a variation of a pattern that’s over 500 years old and still catches fish! I use it as a nymphs drifted under an indicator. It provides a lot of movement flowing freely in the water. I also sometimes tie it behind my streamer to get some extra takes. However, my favorite method is to swing it as a wet fly. This is a very productive and relaxing style of fishing. You should try it out! Be sure to pick up the green version if you are fishing in the spring or summer.
